Tina Ansaldo is a gal’s gal, a woman’s woman. She is energized by every aspect of the feminine; from the girlie to the sensual, the glamorous to the powerful. In this way, her sense of style has been simultaneously distinct and eclectic: unfailingly feminine, but of a woman strong and independent. It is very much a reflection of who she is.
After 2 years at the Ateneo de Manila University, Tina proceeded to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in fashion Merchandising. She embarked on her career in the fashion industry at Neiman Marcus on Rodeo Dr., Beverly Hills. Tina then took a job as a buyer at the California Mart, the premier West Coast fashion hub, working for Gigi Accessories. Over the years she noticed that for every era, anywhere in the world, there inevitably emerged a certain type of female – one who truly reveled in being a woman, finding herself back in Manila, Tina realized that there was a lack of accessories unique enough to speak to that woman’s need for original fashion pieces. She began creating bags to state her purpose. Bags that could converse with a particular dress, that could make a statement all their own. As her creations drew numerous private orders, Tina launched ANSALDO in October of 2004.
As word of ANSALDO Bag's singular design talent spread, an unexpected following emerged to include the Queen of Spain, who changed upon ANSALDO bags in a Madrid bazaar. Captivated by their exquisite detail, Queen Sophia has since acquired a number of ANSALDO bags. So enamoured is the Queen of bag designs, that Prince Felipe, her son, purchased an ANSALDO to give as a Christmas present for his mother (making it the perfect gift for the woman who has everything!). ANSALDO bags are now sold in specialty boutique, and much interest has been expressed in the U.S., a market Tina hopes to take on in 2007.
What is an ANSALDO bag? One that celebrates a woman’s sensuality and her ability to be whomever she wants. it’s old Hollywood meets the modern female. From career woman-cum sex kitten, to the doyenne with a pampered inner princess. It is sophistication and playfulness materialized. Meticulously handcrafted, ANSALDO bags make use of luxurious fabrics and are adorned with carefully selected corals, semi-precious stones, and other materials of personal expression such as lace, animal print and feathers.
